The Market

In the vein of adventure-based romantic comedies like Dash and Lilly, Spontaneous, and humor with an edge like Booksmart, Always Be My Maybe and Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List, this story is made for GenZ’s insatiable appetite for streaming content that propels them into worlds of risk and romance.

Synopsis

Chasing an online dream girl, Amos, a twentysomehting developer, travels from Brooklyn to the far off city of Zagreb where a mixup in baggage claim leads to a brief argument with Lulu, a captivating and audacious young performance artist.

After meeting by chance in a bar, Amos and Lulu are confronted by a mysterious woman named Dubravka. She tells the unlikely pair they’ve been lured into a trap: their DNA has been stolen to create a child who is being held captive by Nolan Kosa, a tech billionaire with an evil scheme to create an anti-aging serum. Do they run? Or try and rescue a child they’ve never met?

They are immediately pursued by Kosa’s agents in a high stakes chase through the city's cafes, nightclubs, streets, and catacombs.

After a harrowing escape, a night of passion deepens their relationship, but its soon challenged when Amos decides not to run, but to rescue Xio. He’s almost captured, but Lulu comes to his rescue in heroic fashion. With Lulu’s amazing jack-of-all-trades skills they break into Kosa's castle to find the boy.

Inside they avoid agents, robot guard dogs, and evil blood sucking machines. When Dubravka tries to escape with Xio she’s stopped by Kosa, who kills her and imprisons Amos and Lulu.

Kosa reveals his plan to harvest their reproductive cells for his serum. Just as all hope is lost, the pair are saved by Xio, and they all survive a dangerous exit -- with the code to destroy the lab. In a perfectly comic twist of fate, Kosa's plan for eternal life backfires, leaving him trapped in an infant-like state.

With Kosa defeated and the castle destroyed, the new family finds safety and freedom along the Croatian coast, where they set sail, ready to face whatever challenges come their way.
